Hardboiled is a sustainable chalk bag company that is dedicated to linking art and activism. Each hardboiled chalk bag is one-of-a-kind, made with thrifted yarn and second hand fleece blankets. 15% of every sale is donated to a non-profit that benefits the BIPOC community.
Elisabeth started Hardboiled in June 2020 as her way of linking activism and art. Hardboiled first began as an earring company, but Elisabeth wanted to create a product that she was passionate about and was sustainable. She decided her passion for climbing was a good place to start. Her mom taught her to crochet 6 months ago and she has been on a frenzy since.
It’s important to Elisabeth not only to donate, but also make sure those who are buying the chalk bags are educated on what the organizations do and who they exist for.
15% of every sale is donated to a non-profit that benefits the BIPOC community. So far, Hardboiled has donated to The Bail Project, First Nations Development Institute, A New Way of Life, and the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services. Hardboiled has donated over $8,500 to various non-profits.

Coming in the new year, Hardboiled will donate to a different organization each month. Each organization will be highlighted for the work they do on the HB instagram page to spread awareness for their issues they advocate for.
Each chalk bag is made with thrifted and secondhand materials to reduce the company's carbon footprint and make products that are a little lighter on the planet.
The external layer is crocheted with secondhand yarn and comes in all different designs in hopes that everyone will find a bag that is their style. A soft fleece lining made from reclaimed blankets means chalk stays inside the bag instead of falling out and all over your gear.
Hardboiled also plans to donate to organizations that advocate for environmental justice.
All Hardboiled chalk bags are gender neutral. There are no women- or men-specific bags. Any person who finds a bag they like will be able to use it on their adventures.
All products are handmade and wrap-strap sizes include up to 7X. Hardboiled can make any size waist strap that is needed upon request!
